Short Story Submissions
'Cursed'
Have you ever spotted an object on a charity shop shelf which you feel must be cursed? Maybe you have inherited a family heirloom with an uncertain point of origin? Tell us the stories behind the oddities you have encountered. How bad could they be, really?
We are seeking submissions for our short story fiction anthology, 'Cursed'. All submissions must feature a cursed item. 20 stories will be selected for publication.
What: Submit a short story between 2000 and 5000 words along with an accompanying image of the 'cursed' item featured in the story.
When: You submit by 23:59 on 31st July 2026. Final selection confirmed by 31st August 2026. Publication 31st October 2026.
Your obligations: You must hold the copyright to all words and images submitted, with no generative AI involvement in their production.
Our obligations: All eligible submissions will be read by someone with editorial capacity (we don't use sifters). We will pay royalties annually to all contributors.
Mutual obligations: Clear and transparent communication between all parties. Tolerance and respect.
